Have you ever felt like you crave so much for sweets, or chocolate? And after eating that, you felt so relieved and happy yet you don’t know what you actually do to your body. Our body is amazing and smart; Our lungs breathe even we forget to breathe, our heart can pump blood without our consciousness. Our body knows when we have to wake up, eat, drink but we didn’t listen to our body carefully.

It’s okay if we want to eat a little bit snack. But it’s not okay if we eat anything we want without knowing our body needs. According to Elle’s Ultimate High Energy Day, the best time to have snack is around 4 pm. And these are healthy snacks you can try:


1. Fruits 

If you like fruits, you can try avocado, grapes, apples, pears, banana, or edamame as your snacks. These fruits are very healthy and contains a lot of vitamins. Omega-3 fatty acids on avocado can help you to have pretty skin and healthy carbs from bananas will give you quick mood and energy.


2. Nuts

There are many benefits we got from eating nuts. Nuts contain healthy fats, fiber, many vitamins, and many minerals which are good for your body. According to the Journal of the American College of Nutrition, those who ate nuts gained some benefits include decreased body mass index, lower systolic blood pressure, lower weight, Less likelihood of having two risk factors for metabolic syndrome: high blood pressure and low HDL (good) cholesterol (for nut consumers); and Less likelihood of having four risk factors for metabolic syndrome: abdominal obesity, high blood pressure, high fasting glucose and a lower prevalence of metabolic syndrome (for tree nut consumers). Try to eat: almonds (lowest calorie), pecans, walnuts, pistachios (low calorie), cashews (low calorie), peanuts



3. Green Juice

Some people think Green Juice is scary but actually it can be delicious! If you don’t like the bitterness of veggies, you can add more fruits, like, apples or pears, banana, or lime. The best time to drink juice is the same day as they are pressed, as soon as green juices meets the air, it begins to oxidize, comprimising its nutritional value. The benefits of green juices are weight loss, increased energy levels, strengthened immunity, strong bones, reduce chances of heart disease, cancer and strokes.



4. Yogurt

If you love yogurt, you can choose this as your snack. Whether it’s normal yogurt or greek yogurt, both of them are healthy! You can eat yogurt with some toppings, such as blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, or everything you like. There are some differences between normal yogurt and greek yogurt but they can be a part of healthful diet. Greek yogurt is high on protein, less carbs, more saturated fats, and less sodium. And normal yogurt contains more calcium than the greek one.
