Do you know that eating healthy makes you happy?

Eating healthy (and fancy) has become a lifestyle for people nowadays.

Sometimes eating healthy refers to pricy meals because of taking control to the quality of its product. Why eat healthy outside when you can press the expense by being selective in choosing the best products at cheapest prices and the best part is making your own healthy meals (read: instinct ibu-ibu mode: on)

 So I am about to share the meals-in-a-jar recipes from brekkie to dinner that will look fancy on your Instagram feeds. The quick kind of meals for emergency you can do in the kitchen yet saving time.

Here we go!


For a quick and easy grab-and-go BREAKFAST throughout the week:

 Healthy overnight oatmeal

What you need:

·      A regular mason jar

·      ½ cup oatmeal

·      ½ cup soy milk (or other non-dairy milk)

·      1 tbsp. chia seeds

·      ¼  tbsp. vanilla

·      1 tbsp. maple syrup

·      ½ cup fresh fruit (topping)

·      1 tbsp. nuts toasted (topping)

How to make:

Pour all the ingredients (oatmeal, soy-milk, chia seeds, maple syrup and vanilla) to the mason jar one by one then stir and refrigerate overnight. Top the jar with fruit and nuts.


For a no-diet diet kind of LUNCH:

Shrimp Feta Salad

What you need:

·      a large mason jar

·      a few tsp. of your dressing of choice

·      2 tbsp. chopped avocado

·      8 grape tomatoes

·      1 tbsp. red onion, chopped

·      2 tbsp. chopped cucumber

·      a few handfuls of romaine lettuce and baby spinach

·      2 tbsp. chopped feta

·      6-8 cooked shrimp

·      1 boiled egg, chopped

·      2 slices of cooked bacon, chopped

How to make:

Layer all the items from avocado, tomato, onion and cucumber, lettuce and baby spinach, feta, then shrimp, egg and bacon. Don’t forget your dressing! It’s essential.


For quick DINNER in a jar to the rescue: 

Pesto Pasta

What you need:

·      a medium mason jar

·      1 cup (or equal to fist hand) pasta

·      5 cherry tomatoes

·       mozzarella as you wish

·      basil leaves

·      pesto sauce (you can buy it on groceries if you don’t have enough time to make one because it takes about 20 mins)

How to make:

Mix the pasta, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves, then stir altogether with pesto sauce.
