“Failure should be our teacher, not our undertaker. Failure is delay, not defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end. Failure is something we can avoid only by saying nothing, doing nothing, and being nothing.” – Denis Waitley”

Everyone fails at some point. Life is a cycle of successes and failures. It takes failure after failure to create success. Whether it’s the small thing like cheating on a diet, or bigger issue like overcoming an addiction, we can always use it as an opportunity for growth. Here are 4 ways to keep you motivated and allow failures to shape us better.

Remember that you will be fine

You may feel disappointment and blame yourself or maybe others. Don’t hold on to those painful feelings as it can cause negative effects on your health. Find someone whom you can share your feelings with or write it in a journal. It will help you unburden. Never allow a bad day to make you feel like you have a bad life.

Keep the positive attitude

Positive thinking forms positive results. When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at changed. Believe that you can overcome whatever failures you’re faced with. You know what works by finding out what doesn’t work.

Don’t let your mistakes control your life

Stop ruminating over the failure. Don’t think about what happened and replaying it over and over again. You are not your mistakes. You have the ability to shape your day no matter what you’ve been through; the future is full of possibilities.

You are one step closer to success

Be grateful that you’re experiencing failures. Mistakes and setbacks give us an opportunity to grow stronger and push you to move forward. You will learn and be better. No matter how many mistakes you make, you are still ahead of those who aren’t trying. Don’t waste your time being upset. Instead, do it better this time.
